"Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity." - Khalil Gibran _ Arguably the most famous billboards in the world at One Times Square, New York City. _ Built in 1904 it was the headquarters for The New York Times newspaper. Less than 10 years later they moved out to a larger premises but the name stuck. On December 31, 1903 the first new years eve event was held in what would be later named Times Square, attracting 200,000 people. The ball drop was introduced in 1908. And now over 1 million people flood into the square to watch the ball drop at the stroke of midnight each year. _ Did you know: apart from the Walgreens drug store at the bottom, most of this building is am empty shell.
