"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." - Buddha _ Life and death. _ The mining town of Bankhead, Alberta is a few minutes drive from Banff. In 1903 it was a buzzing town with 1000 residents, with the first anthracite mine in Canada. In July 1922 the mine suddenly closed and it was a ghost town almost overnight. _ Now all that's left is a few building foundations and these trees. The dry, leaf-less trees remind me of the fragility of our society. It's a quiet and sombre place. But fascinating, nonetheless. _ @banff_lakelouise #mybanff #explorealberta @travelalberta
