Looking out into it the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations." - Alan Watts _ This shot of one of my favourite places in the world, Monument Valley, was taken in December last year. There's nowhere better to watch the almost infinite number of stars twinkle across the night's sky. _ Looking at this scene reminds me of Alan Watts' quote. He's one of the most influential figures in modern philosophy. When we add labels to places, people and situations we miss out on so much in life. So accepting things that are as they are gives one a sense of unparalleled freedom. That seems kinda counterintuitive for our action-driven culture, but there's a lot of wisdom in Alan's perspective.
