As I walked through the fine, ivory sand it began to squeak, almost sing, as it shifted under my feet. Hence why South Walton’s beaches acquired their fame as the “singing sands”. _ This is also the beach where I learned how to *really* make sandcastles like a pro. Walking towards Asakasu Temple, Tokyo, Japan (also known as Sensoji Temple). - Legend says that in the year 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River, and even though they put the statue back into the river, it always returned to them. Consequently, Sensoji was built nearby for the goddess of Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo’s oldest temple. - This view of the temple is looking down the 200-meter-long shopping street known as Nakamise. Alongside typical Japanese souvenirs such as yukata and folding fans, you can find various traditional local snacks. - #beautifuljapan #lovejapan

This scene shows kayaks and tents perched along the frigid river waters. _ One of my favorite views in 2016 during our #motherofallroadtrips around the US & Canada. _ Did you know: at this point of the Colorado River it only takes as little as 7 minutes in the water to kill an adult. It's that cold! Brrrrr! ❄️ _ On our travels I use my @tepwireless Internet hotspot to get a connection to the outside world. I was surprised to even find a signal out here in what appeared to be desert. I never leave home without this magic black box. _ #horseshoebend #BenderGoRVing
