"The most dangerous thing in the world is to try to leap a chasm in two jumps." _ Walking along the Meade Glacier in Skagway, Alaska and came across many moulin... Channels carved in the ice from melting snowmelt. This chasm plunges over 100 feet into a deep blue void. _ The glacier is up to 800 feet thick, and it takes 100 feet of snowfall to create 1 foot of glacier ice. However it's melting faster than growing and this 2000-year-old glacier may be completely gone within a few decades. _ #glacier #alaska @halcruises #hollandamerica
