Mother's stare. This protective monkey mother was keeping a close eye on me while I was taking photos of her family. I could feel her unblinking eyes pierce my very soul. There's something fiercely energetic about a mother's love, something that spans countries, cultures and species. #monkey #bali

"Only those that care about you, can hear you when you’re quiet." At Alas Kedaton, the Monkey Forest near Kukuh village in Bali. Lots of very cute creatures here and they're surprisingly less aggressive than those I saw in Ubud's Monkey Forest. Which of your friends does this photo remind you of? #bali #monkey

The royal temple in Mengwi, Bali - Taman Ayun. The English translation means "garden temple in the water" as the inner temple is surrounded by a moat. The whole complex symbolises the mythological home of the gods, Mount Meru, in a sea of eternity. The tallest meru (11 tiers) is dedicated to the rice goddess Dewi Sri. A very peaceful walk around the gardens and complex. #bali #history

Infinity edge at sunset. As the sun slips slowly behind the horizon, the mirror-like surface of the pool at @samaberesort reflects the sun's stray light, creating a surreal scene that looks like it belongs on the front cover of a travel magazine. I have to remind myself, this is real. Absolutely gorgeous! #bali #samabebali #baligo

It's 5 o'clock somewhere. Sipping cocktails and whole coconuts at the poolbar in Grand Mirage Resort, Nusa Dua. Apart from the beautiful scenery something unusual about this poolbar caught my eye... A clock. But not an ordinary one. It was backwards! Very amusing, and a fast track to feeling like that was one cocktail too many. #grandmirage #bali

Thalasso Spa. My 4-year-old received his first massage here. I was a little apprehensive about it at first, after all the only time he can stay still is in front of a screen. But he surprised me. He really enjoyed it and asked afterwards when the next one will be. "How about tomorrow?" So cute! #grandmirage #spa #bali
