To eat or not to eat... That is NOT the question. This bad boy was delivered to our room in about 5 minutes last night thanks to super speedy room service. Very impressed with the Grand Mirage Resort, Nusa Dua. @grandmirageresort #luxuryhotel #beautifuldestinations #beautifulcuisines #foodporn

I Didn’t Know Holiday Cottages In Pembrokeshire Looked Like This!
Living in the big city had worn us down. While we love London we were eager to get away. So eager in fact, we made the 6-hour drive to west Wales in one trip. Now we were in the heart of Pembrokeshire, and ready for our luxury cottage… I mean “barn”.

Lunch over the rice fields. This was lunch today at the iconic Sari Organik in Ubud, Bali. All produce is grown organically on the farm next to the restaurant. And it can only be accessed via long and bumpy footpath. #sariorganik #bali #ubud
The Terror Of Losing A Child At Santa Park
How many kids want to run off and join the circus? Or perhaps go live with Santa? Well my child almost did! And for nearly 15 minutes I was convinced he had been kidnapped by the big red jolly man himself. Fortunately this particular Christmas crisis had a merry ending.

Our chariot. This is how we get around Bali (most of the time). Parking is a breeze and it only costs AUD$2 per week to fill up petrol. Can you imagine we actually fit all 4 of us on 1 bike. It wasn't very comfy so we now use 2 bikes. Love it! #scooter #bali

Rice paddy in Canggu, Bali. This was the first time we visited this part of Bali even though this is our 9th visit to the island of the gods. An interesting blend of rural and city, all within a short distance from the coast. #bali #ricefield #canggu

Don’t Read This Post About Wolfscastle Country Hotel In Wales (Unless You Want To Ruin Your Keyboard)
Little did I know but we were about to visit one of the best restaurants we’ve dined at in the last 3 years. We’ve eaten at close to 1000 restaurants across 50+ countries in recent years and this one ranks in my favourite 5. So when I heap praise on this fine establishment located in rural Wales, please understand it’s no small feat and certainly not something I do every day.

Australia Day flashback. 1 year ago today we celebrated Australia Day in Perth watching the fireworks. This year was riding horses in Bali (and swimming in the pool, of course). But I missed the Aussie lamb. Maybe we should just eat Mexican and get over the lamb? What do you think? #happyaustraliaday

You know those ambitious lists of things to in Dubrovnik that are designed to inspire your next holiday on the Adriatic coast… they are jam-packed with with 10 or 15 or even 20 items. It can be very overwhelming! So I’ve kept it simple this time and reduced our list to 3. Yep, just 3.

TRUE STORY: When we were in Bucharest, Romania in late December for a couple days I got so sick I couldn't venture very far. So this was the view from our apartment... Snow, snow, snow. A snowy end to our 2014 travels around Europe. But the biggest drama was getting to the airport. I don't want to recount the details as those memories have been repressed. But suffice to say most taxi drivers in Bucharest are princesses about putting luggage in their vehicles. Kind of ironic since its their job. In fact they simply refused to take us even if we put our carry-on bags on our laps. That emotionally traumatic experience (which involved me uncharacteristically screaming at the top of my lungs at the drivers, having a major meltdown and threatening them with physical violence) means I won't be going back to Bucharest any time soon. #romania

I’ve Got Dengue Fever
It’s one of those diseases spoken in hushed tones with a gut-wrenching horror story attached. Your girlfriend’s best friend’s mum’s brother had it and now they are dead. It’s certainly not a disease I ever gave a second thought as we travelled the world. Until that fateful day.

Other way. One of the cheeky monkeys managed to silently sneak up behind me and pounced on my backpack. Fortunately it was zipped up tight. But a small bottle of hand sanitiser was in the external pocket which must have looked tasty. It wasn't worth chasing him to get it back. Either way I think I had the last laugh when he tried drinking it. Karma! #monkey #bali

Meeting the REAL Santa at Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi
This has got to be a Christmas fantasy for any child, let alone for me. Leading up to our trip to Finland, I couldn’t tell who was more excited. Reindeers, huskies, and snow! But the most frequent question we heard was, “when do we see Santa?”. All questions were leading to one place - Santa Claus Village.
